Another recipe for eating well

Let's look at another recipe that promotes healthy eating. Waldorf salad with Walnut Oil Vinaigrette is a healthy food choice that excludes mayonnaise and includes two brands of apples. You also will have a salad high in omega-3 fats which has anti-inflammatory properties.

To make the salad, core and slice 2 red delicious apples and 2 granny apples; dice 4 stalks of celery; prepare 1/2 cup of raisins; 1 cup of toasted walnuts; 2 teaspoons of walnut oil; 1 teaspoon of cider vinegar; and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.

In a bowl toss the apples, celery, raisins, and walnuts together. In a separate small bowl whisk the walnut oil, cider vinegar, salt and pepper together and then toss in the bowl with the apples and mix them all together.
