As winter ends, many are planning their summer travels. And if you travel by car or motorcycle you'll be amazed at what you can discover by staying off the interstate and taking a little extra time to explore. If it's an overnight trip take advantage of public and private campgrounds.
You can usually tent for less than 25 dollars a night, which includes bathroom and shower facilities. Just bring a well constructed tent, a good inflatable mattress and a warm sleeping bag. If it's bad weather, then stay at a hotel or motel. Also, get up early and find the restaurant where the locals eat. You'll have a great breakfast, with lower prices, and great conversation; plus, you'll probably get tips from the locals on things to see along your way. Let your curiosity get the best of you.
You'll soon remember how traveling by car or motorcycle use to be--before interstates! |
