Many of us struggle with weight gain. In fact, it has become a multi-billion dollar industry assisting Americans with shedding weight. Some of these programs have excellent results. My particular favorite is WeightWatchers.
An important skill in most successful weight loss programs is journaling. Keeping track of what you eat and how many calories go into your mouth is critical to dropping weight: In my case, that's about 1200 calories a day!
You can also find many resources on the internet without signing up for a particular program. One such place is Webmd.com. They have an excellent food and fitness planner to help you document your exercise and food activities, plus they give some great advice.
Set a realistic goal and don’t try to drop more than two pounds per week and always consult a doctor before putting yourself on a diet.
Good luck!
